Introducing… Big Head Todd and The Monsters
Colorado natives Big Head Todd and The Monsters is a rock band that began in 1986. Their unique sound and powerful live performances gained quite the following after steady years of touring without being signed to a major label.
Over the years they have released numerous albums but have been unable to transfer their live success to the studio. The only album to gain major recognition was 1993’s “Sister Sweetly.” The album contains three chart topping singles and has been certified platinum.
In 2005, Big Head Todd was contacted by the crew members of Space Shuttle Discovery to commemorate their STS-114 Return To Flight mission, the first mission to be launched after the Columbia disaster. Their single, “Blue Sky,” was written as a tribute to the men and women of the American Space Program.
